Little Miss Muffet

Autumn and Isaac had fun making this movie at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Enoch loved his cardboard knight costume, but it didn't get much airtime.

I think we had more fun sliding down on our bums, instead of using the sleds! :) The song is called Rachel's Dream, by Benny Goodman.

Jacob, Rachel, Sarah, Rebecca and I had tons of fun making this silly little video.
All I said was, "Do you want to make a movie?" and the kids went to work. They thought of costumes they could wear, and what kind of a story they could tell. They loved the idea of a silent movie to add to the humor and make shooting easier.
The end story is this: A water fairy (Rachel) plays with her beloved bubble, but her pet dragon (Sarah) popped it. While chasing the naughty dragon, the fairy meets a wizard (Jacob). He promises to make another bubble for her, but doesn't name his price. He makes the bubble, and is about to exact his price (transform her and imprison her in the closet) when the fairy hears a scratching noise. The wizard opens the door to put her in, revealing a cute kitty (Callie). The fairy realizes what is about to happen, releases the cat from the spell, turning her back into the adorable princess (Rebecca) and banishes the wizard to a fairy land where he can only work good magic. The End!

They came up with the costumes, story, camera angles, and told me how to edit the clips together. I just pushed the buttons and supplied the computer. Pretty clever kids, I'd have to say. :)

I'm so glad I live so close to my sister Julie and her family. What better way is there to kick off the season than with a delicious fresh-baked apple pie? (Baked by Julie, no less. That makes it sure to be delicious! And it was.) Yep, you guessed it. There is no better way. :) Other than coupling that with getting to visit with her family!!! We had a concert, watched silly videos on bestofyoutube.com, and watched Toy Story 3!
I made these for Sarah. Shhh! Don't tell! They have her initials on the back.
Meet Penelope! She's a 2000 Ford Focus. What a steal, for $2,500. Even better- Mom and Dad bought her. I just get to use her.
I'm pretty sure she'll have a name change when Dad starts driving her.

Snow!

Is it snowing yet?
Now?
Third time's the charm!
I went to visit Julie and her family on Saturday and we took down the trampoline to get ready for winter. Julie said, "Ok. I'm ready. It can snow now." Then I made snowflakes Sunday night, and woke up on Monday to: Winter Wonderla.... Ok, so it was just Rexburg.

Crafts, snow, and Halloween fun

"Oh! My beauty spot!"
1920s Flapper girl, if you haven't guessed yet.
Grocery bags have many uses!
In honor of the snow we had this week, I'm posting these pictures of snowflakes that I made in Wels, Austria.

This one may be my favorite.

We also made this cute light set from an old set of Christmas lights and these cool plants called Lampions.
We had a Stake Harvest Festival and I won a prize for the finger painting contest! The original coloring sheet just had the pumpkin on it, and I made up the fence and background.
We are so lucky to have such beautiful sunsets here!
I made these earrings for my sister, and since I love the clear stamps I bought at Porters, I made a cute card for them to go on.

Then I decided to put the card in a handmade box.

And it made the perfect wrapping, so I just tied it up with a bow! :)

My lovely bike

This is my lovely bike. Thank you Jeff and Julie!!! I ride it almost every Tuesday and Thursday to get to my 7:45 D&C class. I think I will name it ... I don't know. Any suggestions?
